The upper tang is marked "MODEL 92/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG. U.S.PAT.OFF&FGN." , the serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver and the number "26" is marked to the left of the lever. Pinned blade front sight and folding ladder rear carbine sight graduated to 200 yards, full length magazine, saddle ring and staple on the left rear of the receiver and mounted with as smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a steel carbine buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The carbine retains 95% plus of the bright original blue finish, showing a smooth brown patina on the barrel band and flaking on the receiver, (mainly the left and under side). The breech bolt has 60% original blue finish with a smooth brown patina on the balance. The buttplate retains most of the original blue finish with some thinning and light spotting. The wood is also excellent with 99% of the original oil finish remaining showing only very minor handling and storage wear. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. This is an excellent example of a Winchester Model 1892 Carbine that appears unused.
