Description:

Measuring 4 1/2 inches tall and 1 7/8 inches wide, with an unmarked gilt brass charger top outfitted with a niter blue external spring. The main body is brown lacquered brass, with a raised design on one side of "COLTS/PATENT" over an array of 13 stars, an American eagle with shield, a crossed pair of revolvers and an "E PLURIBUS UNUM" banner.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The charger retains 60% plus of the original gilt finish, with a finely aged patina on the visible brass. The Roman numeral "XIX" has been added next to the spout. Some light rubbing of the high points on the main body, with a nicely contrasting mustard patina. Mild handling marks overall. An excellent antique Colt accoutrement, which could find a home alongside a fine revolver.
