Manufactered from 1872 to 1874. Approximately 3,014 of these revolvers were chambered for .44 Henry caliber. The included factory letter confirms the caliber, barrel length and finish with walnut grips at time of shipment. The revolver was shipped on October 30, 1873 to Wexel & DeGress. Although the address was not given, Wexel & DeGress had offices in New York City and Mexico City and many of these rimfires were shipped to Mexico and South America. The revolver has the one line address and patent dates marking on top of the barrel rib. Pinned blade front sight and notch rear sight on the barrel latch. The serial number is stamped on the butt with the assembly number "V475" stamped on the barrel latch, barrel and rear face of the cylinder. The revolver is fitted with two piece pearl grips.
