Manufactured circa 1890, there is 100% bold foliate scroll engraving on the receiver, break lever and trigger guard/lower tang with "J. BLANCH & SON" on each side. The water table is marked with "crown/BV", "crown/V" and "crown/cp" proof marks. The barrels have a single steel bead sight, choked improved cylinder/improved modified and 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. The solid rib is marked "J. BLANCH & SON 28 GRACECHURCH STREET LONDON" with the bottom flat marked with a "12", (732"), a London nitro proof, "12" in a diamond, "2 3/4" and "3 1/4 TONS". Mounted on a full coverage checkered splinter forearm with forearm release lever marked "J. BLANCH & SON'S IMPROVED SNAP BOLT" and straight grip stock with silver initial inlay marked "P.A.F." and a checkered horn buttplate. Length of pull is 14 inches.

Professionally restored (barrels), 99% blue finish remains on the barrels, break lever and safety with some very minor wear and a few small nicks. The receiver retains 99% bright coin finish. The lower tang and trigger guard retain 90% of the brown finish. The wood is excellent with a few scattered minor marks.
