Manufactured in 1901 and subsequently beautifully custom embellished. Blade front and pinched frame rear sights. The barrel and ejector housing have extensive floral scroll with punch dot background engraving with a relief engraved silver floral band at the muzzle and breech end of the barrel. Marked with the one line Colt address on the top and 38 W.C.F. on the left side. The frame, cylinder, trigger guard and backstrap also have extensive floral scroll with punch dot background engraving with a relief silver rose overlaid on both sides of the breech band. The recoil shield has a relief wolfs head with jeweled eyes. The loading gate has a mountain lions head with jeweled eyes. Matching serial numbers on the frame and backstrap. Fitted with floral design carved ivory grips. Accompanied by a factory letter confirming the serial number, caliber 38/40, barrel length, finish and the grips as "Not Listed". The letter also indicates that the revolver was shipped on March 28, 1901 to Wyeth Hardware & Mfg. Company, St. Joseph, Missouri. Complete with a glass lid display case.
