This is an excellent original example of a Remington Model 1917 with "TROOP-C-" marking on the heel of the stock. Standard front and rear sights with the barrel marked "R/flaming bomb/7 - 18". The front receiver ring is marked "U.S./MODEL OF 1917/REMINGTON/579348". There is a flaming bomb proof on the left receiver wall and on the top of the bolt handle and an "R" on the underside of the bolt handle. There is an "eagle head/number" proof in front of the magazine, on the front tang of magazine and behind the trigger guard. Mounted on a scant grip stock with finger grooves, one reinforcing bolt, sling swivels and smooth steel buttplate with trapdoor housing an original cleaning kit. With a tan military claw sling.

Excellent, 90% plus original blue finish overall with some wear on the high edges and some scratches on the right side of the front barrel band. The stock is also excellent with scattered minor scratches and dings. All markings are sharp. Mechanically excellent. Sling is fine with discoloration, wear and age cracking.
