Excellent Smith & Wesson New Model Number Three Frontier Target Single Action Revolver with Factory Letter

According to the included factory letter, this revolver was shipped on 19 December 1894 to Hartley and Graham of New York City, with a 6 1/2 inch barrel and blue finish. Peppercorn blade front sight and adjustable "U" notch target rear sight, with the two line address and patent dates on the rib, matching numbers on the barrel, cylinder and butt. Fitted with a casehardened hammer and trigger and checkered grips with S&W imprints at the top. Provenance: The Gary Garbrecht Collection

ConditionExcellent, with 98% of the original blue finish on the barrel and frame with the cylinder showing 75% original blue finish, the balance an even brown patina. Bright original case colors are present in the protected areas of the triggerguard and hammer, with silvering on the remainder. Grips are excellent. Mechanically excellent.
