This is an example of an extremely rare percussion combination key/pistol. Measuring 4 1/2" in total length, the underside of the barrel is fitted with a 7/8" long key bit, marked "677" on the left side. Hammer and trigger are checkered, with the right side of the frame near the breech marked "BREVETE SGLG/ ED". Grips are smooth bag shaped ivory.

Excellent, with 90% of the finish, showing areas of mixed gray patina and scattered spotting. A coat of protective lacquer is present on the surface, along with scattered handling marks. Grips are also excellent, with some age stress and a fine color. Mechanically excellent. One will never see another curiosa piece like this one!
