The barrel has blade and adjustable buckhorn sights and is marked "WHITNEYVILLE ARMORY, CT, U.S.A." followed by "KENNEDY" with "44 CAL C.F." at the breech. The upper tang is stamped with the two line patent marking and the lower tang is stamped with the serial number. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with iron end cap and crescent buttplate with compartment (cleaning rod not included).
