Manufactered circa 1877 to 1879. The top of the barrel has the one line address/patent dates marking which ends with "U.S.A.". The underside of the barrel is stamped with the letter "P". Ladder rear sight graduated to 1,100 yards. Smooth two piece buttstock surrounding the magazine with a forearm featuring checkering. Buttplate is correctly without a heel.

Fair. The rifle retains traces original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The buttstock is good with a poorly repaired forearm, worn checkering and some minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.
