Manufactured in 1955 with a "type 5" hooded ramp front sight with an elevation adjustable early open sight. The straight tang receiver has the left rear drilled and tapped for sight mounting with filler screws and the matte front and smooth rear receiver bridges drilled and tapped for scope mounting with filler screws. The bolt handle is hollow and the safety is the "late" style. Mounted on a multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with sling studs and a checkered aluminum buttplate.

Very vine as partially refinished (trigger guard and stock) with 99% original blue on balance, only a few light handling marks overall. The stock is also very fine. Mechanically excellent.
