Produced by Colt in 1942 and subsequently refurbished using later production parts. The left side of the matching numbered slide is marked with the two line, two block address/patent marking with the Rampant Colt to the right. The left side of the frame has the boxed "W.B." inspection initials and "P" below the magazine release and the right side has the "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" over the serial number and "M1911A1 U.S.ARMY" ahead of the slide stop hole along with the single line Colt address on the slide. Checkered slide release, arched main spring housing and magazine release button. Parkerized barrel with chrome lining. The grips are checkered brown plastic. Magazine is parkerized with an "S" marked on the lip.
