Description:

Manufactured from 1864 to 1872 with a total production of about 3,000. Marked "WM W. MARSTON/PATENTED/MAY 26. 1867/NEW YORK CITY/IMPROVED 1864" on the left side plate. Barrel counter indicator on the right side of the frame, tip down three superposed barrel cluster, brass frame, and spur trigger.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrels retain 40% original blue the balance has thinned along high edges and is a mottled gray/dark patina showing some minor handling marks overall. The frame is now a pleasantly aged dark mustard patina with some scattered handling marks and a few dark spots. The grips are fine exhibiting minor pressure marks and may have had an extra coat of varnish applied some time ago. Mechanically fine.
