Description:

This unique pistol was manufactured without sights or markings. A spring loaded flip-up barrel is controlled by a pushbutton on the left front grip panel. On the right side is a 3 1/2 inch dagger point blade with a full length unsharpened false edge. Alongside the sear and trigger is a retention latch for the blade, fitted with a manual release stud at the rear, and additionally can be activated with a strong pull of the trigger. The hammer has a curved checkered spur and the sear runs along the underside of the frame to a corkscrew style trigger. The trigger can be manually extended or deployed automatically by cocking the hammer. The pistol has steel working components, ribbed German silver panels at the blade hinge and a floral scroll engraved German silver grip frame. Fitted with finely carved floral pattern ivory panels on each side and a lanyard mount on the butt.

Rating Definition:

Fine overall. The steel components have a mixed gray patina with scattered pitting and mild handling marks overall. Traces of a niter blue finish are visible on the corkscrew trigger. Some light dings from firing are visible on the barrel and hammer. Silver components are very good, with some light handling marks. Ivory is excellent, with a thin crack on the left front panel, excellent carving detail and superb color. Mechanically excellent. A very fine example of an extremely unique knife pistol.
