The consignor's notes indicate that this shotgun was engraved by Master Engraver Walter Kolouch for A.L. Hoffman in the mid 1970s. There is a single steel bead sight on the matte solid rib, choked full/modified and 3 inch chambers with ejectors. The top of the rib is engraved "MADE FOR A.L.HOFFMAN". The left side of the receiver has a gold inlaid flying pheasant in a floral scroll oval with a punch dot background and is signed "WK" in the top left corner. The right side has a gold inlaid duck in flight inside a floral scroll oval with punch dot background. The underside has a gold inlaid rooster inside a simple border with a punch dot background. There are some small flourishes of floral scroll on the side of the break lever, lower tang and edge of the recoil fences. The serial number "4803" is marked on the inside of the forearm hardware and on the bottom flat of the barrels. The lower tang is engraved "Ref. 0001.". Mounted on a multi-point checkered walnut forearm and straight grip stock with gold inlaid "ALH" and leather covered recoil pad. Length of pull is 13 3/4 inches. With a leather covered hardcase, cleaning rod, snap caps and oiler.
