The Lee saw much action with the Navy and Marines in the Spanish-American War and various other landing parties including the Philippines and Boxer Rebellion. This example is equipped with a blade front sight and folding ladder rear sight. The left side of the receiver is stamped with the two line address/patent dates ('93, '94, '95) marking with the top of the receiver ring stamped "-U.S.N.-/[anchor]/No3516/-N.C.T." Full length stock with hand guard, stacking swivel and sling swivels. The front barrel band has a bayonet lug and the rear barrel band is marked with the letter "U." The buttstock is fitted with a buttplate with compartment (cleaning rod not included).

Very fine. The rifle retains 85% plus original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The wood is excellent with some scattered minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
