This is a desirable Zero Series P38 pistol that has the exposed extractor, round head firing pin, thick rear sight, and thin safety lever. The slide is marked with the "Walther Banner/P.38/03054" and with a large Roman numeral "X" stamped above the serial number. The right side of the slide is marked with two "Eagle/359" Waffenamt proofs with a single "Eagle" firing proof in between. The serial number "03054" is stamped on the front of the barrel lug, left side of the frame and left side of the slide. The locking block is stamped "054" on the underside with the sides stamped with a single "Eagle" firing proof and "Eagle/359" Waffenamt proof. There is a small "asterisk" type proof on the front of the barrel lug. Since this is an early Nazi issue P38 the majority of the various smaller parts are also stamped with a single "Eagle/359" acceptance proof. It is fitted with checkered black backlite grips with the correct four subcontractor mold marks "Cewe/480/v7z3/1" on the backsides with each grip having no other proofs or serial numbers. It is complete with one all blue magazine that is marked "P.38" on the side with a double "Eagle/359" Waffenamt on the spine.

Rating Definition:

Fine as arsenal refurbished and subsequently refurbished. The markings are sharp with minor edge and high spot wear. The grips are very fine overall with minor handling marks and some minor roughness on the rear side of the left grip. As noted it has matching numbers on the various parts except the magazine and grips. The barrel has been renumbered to match the gun. A scarce early Walther Zero Series pistol.
