Manufactured between 1901 and 1920 with a total production of approximately 65,000, the Model 1901 was a redesign of the Model 1887 shotgun and was offered in 10 gauge only. This shotgun was manufactured in 1916. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the two line address/patent dates followed by "MODEL 01 10GA. FULL". The left side of the receiver is marked with the "WRACo" monogram, the upper tang has the three line patent, maker, trade mark legend and the serial number is on the bottom front of the receiver. Single brass bead sight, 3 inch chamber and mounted with a smooth walnut forearm and round knob pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. Length of pull is 13 inches.

Excellent plus. The shotgun retains 99% original blue finish with loss limited to the sides of the barrel band. A few very light handling marks. The wood is also excellent with a few tiny dents and handling marks. The markings are sharp. The shotgun appears unfired and the action is excellent. This is the finest Winchester Model 1901 we have offered in many years and it would be very difficult to improve on.
