This is an early Colt AR-15 SP1 rifle manufactured in 1984. It has a Colt M16A1 style upper receiver with forward assist, and the original Colt AR-15 marked lower receiver. It has the original two-position rear sight and adjustable post front sight. It has also been upgraded with a new custom heavy barrel (similar to a HBAR) for improved accuracy, fitted with the standard bird cage flash hider and has also been fitted with an earlier "COLT" 4X20 marked scope. The scope has the standard duplex reticle. Standard ribbed handguards with an upgraded fixed tubular stock marked "ACE LTD". It is complete with a Colt marked magazine and a black nylon sling. With a black nylon soft case made by the ACE company.

Excellent. The rifle retains 98% of the original finish overall with minor handling marks. The handguard, pistol grip and stock show only light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The scope optics are clear and the soft case is excellent.
