Denver Police Shipped Smith & Wesson Hand Ejector Model of 1917 Double Action Revolver with Factory Letter

The included factory letter states that the revolver was shipped from the factory on March 7, 1932 and was purchased by the Denver Police. The two line address/patent dates marking on top of barrel, caliber marking on left barrel side and "SMITH & WESSON" on the right barrel side. The underside of the barrel has the serial number, letter "B" for blue finish and an eagle head. Fitted with checkered S&W medallion grips.

ConditionFine as partially refinished (barrel). The revolver retains 90% of the blue finish overall showing areas of smooth brown-gray patina on the barrel and top strap, some minor high edge wear and minor thinning on the grip straps. Front sight has been modified. The grips are excellent with a few minor handling marks and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
