WWII M1911A1 pistol as manufactured by Colt in 1943. The slide is marked with the two line, two block address and 1897-1913 patent marking with the Rampant Colt in the center, "P" on top of the slide in front of the rear sight, and the left side of the frame is marked with a "W.B." inspector cartouche above the magazine catch and "P" below it. The right side of the frame is roll marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" over serial number, No. 852404, with "M1911A1 U.S.ARMY" stamped on the forward portion of the frame. Fitted with standard fixed sights, checkered slide stop, magazine release, earlier WWI blued, thumb safety, wide spur hammer and arched, checkered main spring housing. It has a blue barrel marked "COLT 45 AUTO" on the lower left side. It is Fitted with brown plastic checkered grips with re-enforcement rings around the screws, reinforcing webs on the back sides with mold numbers, "4 and 8", cast into the grips. It has one blued magazine marked "C-R" on the bottom and "R" on the lip. It is complete with a WWII "Boyt/42" marked "US" leather holster with leather lanyard.
