Single bead sight on the bayonet lug, 4-hole heat shield with the barrel marked for cylinder choke and a 2 3/4 inch chamber. Flaming bomb proof is present on the left side of the frame below a "US". Ribbed forearm and a smooth pistol grip stock with a checkered buttplate and a 13 3/4 inch length of pull. With a British proofed Winchester bayonet, 21 3/4 inches overall with a 17 inch blade, ribbed hardwood grips, and a leather sheath with "JEWELL/1917" on the belt hanger.

Fine as partially refinished (receiver right side) with 40% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, bright edge wear and scattered handling marks. Mild pitting is present on the receiver, concentrated on the right side. Stock is good, with thin cracks at the forearm and wrist, minor chipping of the buttplate, and scattered dents and scuffs. Bayonet is very good, with some scuffing and cracking on the sheath. Mechanically very good.
