Introduced in 1995, this is the same configuration as the Colt AR-15A2, with fixed upper receiver, 800 meter fully adjustable rear sight, case deflector and forward assist. The medium weight barrel is fitted with a bird cage muzzle brake, bayonet lug, and has the ribbed and vented handguards, white "ordnance eagle" stamped magazine well, and a checkered pistol grip and buttplate.
