Manufactured in 1870. The barrel has the one line New-York U.S. America address, the left frame side has "COLT/PATENT" and trigger guard is marked "36 CAL" on left side. Full matching serial number is stamped on the barrel lug, frame trigger guard and back strap with unmarked wedge. Fitted with a smooth varnished grip.

Fine. The barrel and cylinder retain 40% original bright blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The frame and lever retain traces of original case colors. Some minor pitting is present. The grip straps have an attractive patina. The grip is very fine with some scattered minor handling marks and retaining most of the varnish. Mechanically fine.
