Manufactured in 1896 on special order. Combination folding front sight with an ivory bead, no rear sight provisions and euripides with a tang mounted short range peep sight. The top barrel flat is marked with the two line address/patent dates and "38 Cal." at the breech. The serial number is on the lower tang. 1/2 length magazine, set trigger, blue finish with a nickel plated bolt and hammer, and mounted with a deluxe multi-point checkered highly figured walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered Rampant Colt embossed hard rubber buttplate and silver initial oval.
