This pistol features a rolling block action with double hammers and single trigger. When the hammers are cocked the trigger is pulled once to fire the right barrel and a second time to fire the left barrel. The upper left side of the frame is marked "BREVET REMINGTON" over the serial number, and the right side is marked "BREVET/NAGANT" and E.M. &L NAGANT/LIEGE" in a circle. The Brevet Remington marking is not in alignment indicating it was not done with a single die. The right rear of the barrel is marked with the "E/LG/star" and "star/K" proof marks, and the right rear of the frame has a "crown/LH" proof. The "star/K" proof is also on the bottom of the frame and the inside of the trigger guard has a "crown/L". The matching serial number is marked on barrel lug, barrels, breechblock, frame and both hammers. Blue finish with casehardened hammers and niter blue breechblock. Fitted with checkered walnut grips with a lanyard ring on the iron butt cap.

Fine. The pistol retains &0% original blue finish remaining showing numerous areas of flaking, edge wear and rust of the grip straps and butt cap. The breechblock retains strong original niter blue finish with a silver gray on the balance and some minor oxidation. The grips are very good with some minor bruising and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear, The action is fine.
