This is a early WWII produced German G43 rifle that was manufactured by Gustloff-Werke that has the "bcd" code receiver. These have the Type 1 milled receiver, marked on the left side with the small asterisk proof over "bcd/4921b/ G43" with a single Eagle Firing proof. It also has the type 1 machined bolt carrier without the reinforcing web on top; solid cocking knob on the left side and the bolt hold open latch on the right side. The action housing is stamped and has a sliding dust cover on top. The rifle has the early style barrel with the threaded muzzle nut, with the standard military front and rear sights. The rear sight is graduated from 100-1,200 meters. It is fitted with a laminated stock and handguard that has a cupped sheet metal buttplate. The buttstock is unnumbered and unproofed. This rifle is complete with a late WWII ZF4 sniper scope and mount. The mount is proofed with an "Eagle/359" Waffenamt. The scope is marked "Gw/ZF 4/dow/33425" and has a reproduction front rain shield and reproduction rubber eye cup. The scope includes a fiber-wood scope can that has a cloth strap and reproduction yellow and amber lens insides. The rifle is complete with one "aye/G43" marked magazine, front sight cover, cleaning rod, WWII leather sling, original field manual and reproduction field manual.

Very fine with 85% of the dipped blue finish overall mostly in the protected areas with the even wear on the exposed barrel and barrel bands. The stock and handguard are both very good The scope retains 90% of its blue finish and the scope mount has been polished overall with the ends of the mount ground/rounded off. The scope can/box is also good showing wear on all the surfaces with chips and nicks in the paint.
