Description:

This is an excellent example of a scarce pre-war Polish Radom model 1935 pistol. After the fall of Poland in 1939 these Radom pistols became a secondary issue weapon that was widely used by the Wehrmacht throughout WWII. These early pistols can be distinguished by the Polish Eagle and "1939" date on the side of the slide. This pistol was manufactured fairly early in the production cycle with 1939 production serial numbers stopping at approximately 49,400. This early pistol has the correct three levers; decocking lever, slide stop and takedown lever on the left side of the slide and frame. The rear of the frame is milled for the shoulder stock slot (not included). The left side of the slide is marked "F.B. RADOM/1939r" followed by the Polish Eagle and "VIS-wz.35/pat. Nr.15567". The serial number "36222" is located on the right side of the frame above the trigger and this example has matching numbers on the slide and barrel. The left side of the trigger guard bow has a small circled, "D/2" proof. The grips have "VIS" molded into the right grip and "FB" into the left and it is complete with a correct unmarked all blue wartime magazine.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 95% plus of the original blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear with thinning on the back strap and grip safety. The grips are also excellent with nice markings on both sides with minor handling marks. As noted this example has all matching numbers on the frame, slide and barrel. Mechanically excellent.
