This beautiful all original Winchester Model 52D single shot target rifle as manufactured in 1964. This rifle was originally purchased by the U.S. Army and then later sold through the Civilian Marksmanship Program in 2003 and comes with its original CMP "Certificate of Authenticity" and original cardboard shipping container numbered to the rifle. The left side of the receiver is correctly electro-penciled with the "U.S." property mark above the serial number. The right side of the receiver is roll stamped "WINCHESTER/TRADE MARK". The left side of the medium weight target barrel is roll stamped "-WINCHESTER-/-TRADE MARK-/-MADE IN U.S.A.-" followed by "MODEL 52 -22 L. RIFLE-/-WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL-". Oval "W/P" Winchester proofmarks are stamped on the left side of the barrel and receiver. This rifle is fitted with a set of original Redfield Olympic Target Globe front sight and a Redfield International Target rear sight, both mounted on the their original Winchester bases. Additionally the barrel still retains its original set of Winchester target scope blocks. The bolt body is correctly polished bright and is serial numbered on the underside to match the rifle. This exceptional rifle is fitted with a beautiful dark black walnut oil finished target stock that has a slight amount of figure through the buttstock area. The underside of the stock has the original full length accessory rail and is complete with the original Winchester hand stop/sling swivel. The stock is also fitted with a lower sling swivel and still retains the original Winchester marked black rubber recoil pad with white line spacer.

Exceptional with 98% plus of the original Winchester blue finish overall with minor finish loss on the bolt handle. The barrel and receiver are perfect with clear sharp markings and proofs marks. The stock is also exceptional with a beautiful dark color overall and a hint of figure on the right side of the butt. The Redfield target sights are excellent with 99% of their blue finish, tight and track correctly. Even the accessory rail, which usually wears easily, shows only minor edge wear from where the hand stop has been tightened in a few places. The box and certificate are as originally received. Truly a super condition, highly desirable "U.S." Marked Winchester Model 52D target rifle complete with CMP documentation and Redfield target sights.
