The barrel on this example is marked "S A/flaming bomb/2-38" and the receiver was manufactured in early 1938. The bolt is marked with the steel lot code "J 5" on the underside of the safety lug. The rear sight does not have the 2,850 yard notch. Mounted on a smooth walnut pistol grip stock with two reinforcing bolts, a boxed "S.A./S.P.G." cartouche and a smooth steel buttplate.
