This is an excellent example of a Type 4 38-H Model pistol. These pistols were only marked "CAL. 7.65" on the left side of the slide and had a single "eagle/N" proof on the right rear of the frame. The serial number is on the left rear of the frame. This variation was also found with or without the "PATENT" marking on the right side of the slide, this pistol is without the marking. Mis-matched Sauer magazine and fitted with black plastic checkered grips with the Sauer logo on the left panel.

Fixed sights, with "CAL. 7,65" on the left side of the slide, "eagle/N" proofs on the right side of the slide, frame and muzzle, and an "eagle/C" Police Acceptance Stamp on the left trigger guard web. With a smooth hammer, serrated safety and decocker, and checkered "SuS" monogram grips.
