According to the records of the Buffalo Bill Historical Center (copy of abstract included), this rifle was shipped on January 21, 1992 in 38/56 caliber with a 28 inch barrel and a set trigger. Rocky Mountain German silver blade front sight and adjustable sporting notch rear sights on the long barrel, with the 2-line Winchester address on the top flat ahead of the rear sight, "38-56 W.C.F." towards the breech, and "-Model 1886-" on the upper tang. Smooth straight wrist stock, with a metal forearm tip and a smooth buttplate.
