Two European Semi-Automatic Pistols

A) Mauser Model 1914 Pistol with Box

Manufactured between 1914 and 1936. Two line Mauser address/patent marking on the left side of the slide, the large "MAUSER" banner on the left side plate, fixed sights, heat blue safety, trigger and magazine catch and checkered wraparound grips. With a Mauser red leatherette box, bore brush, and a 1927 dated inspection certificate from Detroit, Michigan.

ConditionExcellent, with 98% plus original blue finish, showing some mild edge wear and handling marks overall. Strong heat blue is present on the small components. B) Scarce Andreas Schwarzlose Model 1908 Semi-Automatic Pistol

Manufactured circa 1908-1911, the Schwarzlose 1908 uses an uncommon "blow forward" action, where the breech and cartridge remain stationary in firing, and the barrel is driven forward by a combination of gas pressure and projectile friction. Blade front and notch rear sights, with "SCHWARZLOSE" on the right side of the breech in an arc over a water cooled machine gun logo marked "A. W. Schwarzlose G.m.b.H. Berlin" on the left side. Fitted with a pair of checkered hard rubber grips, and a front strap grip safety with manual locking switch.

ConditionGood, with traces of the original blue finish, polished on the sides of the frame and slide, with areas of pitting, a mixed brown and gray patina on the frame, and scattered handling marks. The grips are very good, with some flat spots and pressure dents. Mechanically good.
