Also known as the Model Number 2, this later production Type I derringer was manufactured circa 1868. Blade and notch sights, with two line "E REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, N.Y./ELLIOTS PATENT DEC. 12TH 1865" on the top barrel rib, niter blue finished small parts, and a pair of smooth birds head grips.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 98% of the original nickel finish, showing some minor handling marks and light frosting overall. A small amount of flaking and spotting is visible on the right side of the frame. 70% of the original niter blue remains, with areas of brown patina and bright blue concentrated in the protected areas. Grips are fine as repaired, with a chip in the left panel, a thin vertical crack visible on each side, and mild handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
