A) U.S. Navy Colt Double Action Revolver with Holster

Description:

Manufactured in 1903. Five pointed naval inspection stars are marked on the left trigger guard bow, barrel, cylinder latch, cylinder and crane. Assembly number "294" stamped on cylinder latch, frame and crane. The butt is marked "U.S.N./anchor/38D.A./B in a triangle/NO./13/122/J.A.B." over the two line serial number. Fitted with checkered "COLT" embossed grips which have the assembly number "294". The flap of the holster is embossed "USN" inside an oval and the snap is marked "USN".

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The revolver retains 85% original blue finish with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The grips are excellent with a few minor handling marks and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster is fair with age cracking. Overall the stitching is tight.

Description:

The barrel underside has "P" and "K" inspector marks. The left side of the frame has "JEH" and "RAC" inspector marks and "1902". The butt is marked "U.S./ARMY/MODEL/1903/No./205/678". Grips have "RAC" on the bottoms and lanyard ring of butt.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The revolver retains 80% original blue finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The grips are very fine with some scattered minor pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
