The barrel is stamped with the second or "90-1A" barrel marking and with the caliber "22 SHORT" just in front of the receiver. The receiver and barrel are correctly not stamped with a proofmark. The top tang is stamped with the second or "90-B" markings. The sides of the tangs are unmarked. Fitted with a 12 groove round walnut forearm and highly figured "Fiddleback", smooth straight grip burl walnut stock with a crescent steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, 85% of the original blue finish remains with high edge and cycling wear along with some scattered scratches and dings. The casehardened receiver retains 60% of the original case colors with areas of brown and gray patina and some scratches. The wood is very good as refinished with scattered dings and scratches. Mechanically functions fine, although the bolt can unlock with the hammer cocked.
