Manufactured in 1941. The left rear of the barrel is marked "MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN./--U.S. OF AMERICA--" followed by "-WINCHESTER-/--TRADE MARK--" and "MODEL 62A-/22 S. L. OR L.R." The Winchester oval proof is marked on the top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The matching serial number is marked on the lower tang and bottom of the receiver. Blade front and elevation adjustable rear sights, 17 groove forearm and smooth straight grip stock with a checkered Winchester plastic buttplate. Comes with the original two piece factory box numbered to the gun and instructions.

Excellent. The rifle retains 98% plus original blue finish showing some minor cycling wear, an area of flaking (rear left side of receiver) and some minor spotting (mostly on the trigger guard). The wood is also excellent with a series of minor scuffs near the stock toe. Mechanically excellent. The box is fair with a split lid corner and dark stains.
