Engraved John Witton London Box Lock Percussion Pistol

Engraved border at the muzzle of the fine twist barrel, "42/crown/V" and "crown/GP" on the underside of the breech, scrollwork on the sides of the frame and "JOHN WITTON/ LONDON" in a shield on top. Hammer is scroll engraved with an animal head pattern. Checkered bag shaped grip with a monogrammed silver disc on the rear. Equipped with a swiveling ramrod and a belt clip.

ConditionFine. The barrel retains 60% of the original brown finish with a ding and light spotting on the muzzle and a well defined twist pattern. 40% case colors remain on the frame, strongest in the protected areas with a smooth gray patina forming on the remainder. 40% of the original niter blue finish is visible on the outer surface of the belt clip. The grips are very good, with some mild pressure dents and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
