In 1863, Nathaniel and John Curry inherited their father's business, operating as wholesalers and Deringer sales agents until 1886, when they sold the firm to Charles Ladd. Dovetailed German silver blade front and notch rear sights, with a "P" and "DERINGER/PHILADELA'' on the breech between silver bands, and "N.CURRY & Bro/SAN FRANCo CALa/AGENTS" on the top flat of the barrel. The Derringer marking is repeated on the lock, with scroll engraving on the tang, hammer, lock, trigger guard, reverse and accent pates, blossom designs on the escutcheons, pineapple finial, straight borders with scroll accents on the inscription shield and a zig-zag bordered buttplate.
