Manufactured in 1862 and later custom engraved in the late 20th Century. The floral scrollwork covers approximately 70% of the metal surfaces to include the barrel, cylinder, frame, loading lever and grip straps. A border engraving surrounds the one line New York barrel address and the top of the back strap has an engraved fan pattern. A checker board pattern is incorporated into the barrel scrollwork and a mythical creature head is engraved on the hammer. Matching numbers on barrel, frame, grip straps, barrel wedge and cylinder. Fitted with a one piece ivory grip.

Very good as custom embellished. The revolver has a smooth gray patina with the brass grip straps having a pleasant patina. Some scattered light pitting is present (mostly on the barrel). The slightly undersized grips are very fine with some minor handling marks. The ivory has an attractive color and grain pattern. Mechanically fine.
