Manufactured in 1908 and subsequently returned to the factory. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the proof steel, Model 94, trade mark and caliber information, and Winchester oval proof is marked on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The upper tang is marked with the three line model, maker, trade mark marking and the serial number is on the bottom of the receiver. Dovetailed blade front and adjustable buck horn sporting rear sight and full length tube magazine. Mounted with a smooth walnut forearm with a steel end cap and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.
Very fine as factory refinished/rebarreled. The rifle retains 90% original blue finish with some edge wear and areas thinning to a plum blue. There is a small amount of minor oxidation on the heel of the buttplate. The wood is fine with a number of small scratches, and some scattered minor dents and handling marks. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is fine.
