This example was manufactured in 1927. The receiver has the beautifully executed Grade 4 floral scroll engraving with a duck in flight on the left side and a pheasant standing in a field on the right side. The top tang has a selector/safety switch and there are cocking indicators on top of the receiver. The 30 inch set of barrels are stamped with the matching serial number and the grade on the bottom flat, have dual ivory bead sights, are choked .027/.030 and have 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. The 28 inch set of barrels are stamped with the matching serial number and the grade on the bottom flat, are stamped with a "2" on the forearm lug, have dual ivory bead sights, are choked .000/.015 and have 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. Mounted on a finely checkered beavertail walnut forearm with ebony insert and a nicely figured pistol grip stock with ebony grip cap, "GNM" engraved gold initial shield and a Hawkins recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 1/8 inches. With a leather Lyon & Coulson manufactured leg of mutton case with a blank silver initial plaque.
