The top of the breech end of the barrel is engraved with a leafy vine design, and the receiver rings are engraved with a floral vine and mythical dragon motif. The left rear of the barrel is marked with an "FN" in an oval followed by "1952" and the caliber marking. Below that are four Belgium proof marks. The lower front right side of the receiver is marked "FN" in an oval followed by "1952" and "MADE IN BELGIUM" (the latter repeated on the right side of the barrel). The lower left side is marked with three Belgium proofs and the side wall "FAB. NAT D'ARMES DE GUERRE-HERSTAL-BELGIQUE". The matching serial number is marked on the right rear of the barrel and on the underside of the receiver. The floor plate and trigger guard are engraved with the same floral vine and dragon motif. The barrel is blue with a hooded ramp front sight and three leaf (two folding, one fixed) rear sight. The bolt is bright, blue bolt handle and French gray receiver.

Excellent. The barrel retains 98% original blue finish with some minor muzzle wear. The bolt handle retains 99% original blue finish. The receiver retains 99% original French gray finish. The action is excellent.
