The back is covered in black cloth, with the buttonhole hook stamped with the "RZM" logo next to "M1/128", the production code of Eugen Schmidhaussler of Pforzheim, and the chain hooks fitted with 3 internal notches for length adjustment. With a blackened neck chain, 22 1/4 inches long with 23 links, alternating between "SS" runes (11) and "grinning skull" totenkopf designs (12).
