This is a very scarce DWM Mauser Model 1906/34 commercial contract Swiss Luger pistol as produced with the "Cross in Sunburst" chamber marking. This example has the serial number with the letter "V" as produced for a very short time before the DWM/Mauser factory switched to the standard five-digit serial number block and switched to the standard Mauser Banner toggle markings. Retains the DWM logo on the front toggle with the polished/milled lower safety position with no markings with the "GELADEN" marked extractor, new style coil frame. It has the distinctive fast taper barrel, 1906 style grip safety with no stock lug, flat toggles and correct Swiss Cross proof on the various parts. The pistol is complete with one original nickel plated magazine with an unmarked wooden base. This is a very early production Swiss contract Luger pistol as manufactured by the new Mauser factory in the early 1930s.
