The barrel has the two line address/patent marking and the upper tang is marked "MODEL 1873". The brass cartridge elevator has the caliber marking. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate featuring a compartment (cleaning rod not included).

Rating Definition:

Good. The rifle has a mixture of mottled gray patina and smooth dark brown patina with traces of the original blue finish in the protected areas. Some minor pitting is present. The wood is also good with a hairline crack near the buttplate tang, a couple gouges and numerous minor pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically fine.
