The stock wrist has a script "SWP/1880" boxed cartouche and a circled "P" along with a clear "J.C." stamped behind the trigger guard. The buttplate is marked "US".

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The rifle retains 95% plus original blue finish showing loss at the muzzle and some high edge wear (heavier on the buttplate). The breechblock and tang retain 97% original case colors. The wood is very fine with some pressure dents and some minor scratches. The cartouche is clear and crisp. Mechanically excellent.
