Fair. The carbine has a smooth dark gray patina overall showing a mottled brown patina on the magazine. Initials are marked on the sides of the receiver and lower tang and a few patches of minor pitting are present. The refinished wood is fair with a minor chip missing near the barrel band, a couple hairline cracks, a putty filled repair, and a couple small chips missing from the upper tang.
