Engraved and gold inlaid by Master Engraver Robert Burt, this revolver features copious amounts of magnificently executed floral scroll and geometric engraving along with gold inlaid bands at the muzzle (single band), breech (double bands) and cylinder (double bands) with a gold inlaid outline on the sides of the frame and top of the back strap. This gun is a replica of the Single Action Army ordered by Sears & Roebuck in 1897. Sears then offered it for sale in their 1901 catalog. The original Sears gun didn't sell until the 1950s. The revolver was bought by Mel Torme for $750 and that same Sears gun sold for $747,500 several years ago. This revolver is signed "Engraved By Robert B. Burt" on the underside of the barrel. Fitted with a smooth pearl one piece grip. Master Engraver Robert Burt worked directly under S&W Master Engraver Russ Smith and has been a well accomplished master engraver for nearly 40 years.
