Description:

Measuring 34 1/2 inches overall, the 28 inch Damascus steel blade is fitted with an 8 1/2 inch false edge and an attractive engraved wrap-around gold panel on the ricasso, with scroll designs on the spine and leading edge and cut-through leaf designs on the sides. The hilt is carved hardwood, with raised floral designs on the silver collar and a floral carved ball pommel. The cane body is matching colored wood, with a raised floral design throat and a brass tip with silver finished metal reinforcing band. Overall length when sheathed is 40 1/4 inches long.

Rating Definition:

Fine overall. The blade shows a slight bend to the left towards the tip, with a fine gray patina and strong remnants of the original Damascus pattern. The gold is strong, and the silver components are well aged. The wood is fine, with some dents and scuffs.
